Synopsis
A grieving therapist begins to tell her clients exactly what she thinks
Disregarding his training and ethics, he finds himself making big changes in people’s lives – including his own.. Cast of "Downsizing" share their best character-defining moments from Season 1 and find out who does the best Harrison Ford impression.. When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford to appear on the show, Segel said that Goldstein originally wanted "Harrison Ford guy," and was auditioning for people similar to Ford. Segel told Goldstein that they had to at least take it to Ford first, thinking that he would immediately reject it, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford had brought the project, generating interest from other notable actors.
The acting was great
Eventually, Goldstein talked to Ford and sold him the role. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince him, but he was elated nonetheless.. Featured in WatchMojo: Top 10 Best TV Shows of 2023 (So Far) (2023). This was a solid production and a very unique story.
Is it perfect?
I love how each character embraces their imperfections and shows vulnerability and uses humor for spiritual growth. Downsizing has tons of heartfelt moments, awkward moments, mildly funny cute moments, and laugh-out-loud moments. I hope they continue to do additional seasons of this because the character development justifies it. Not.
But neither are any of us
I think the overuse of expletives detracts from the overall power potential here. It’s almost as if the writers forcefully make the series edgy. I personally don’t think it was necessary. That’s why I gave it an 8.
